Rejected Luna's New Life
Synopsis of Rejected Luna's New Life
Chapter 1
I smoothed down the front of my silver ceremonial dress, my fingers trembling slightly as I adjusted the moonstone pendant at my throat—my mother's necklace, the only thing I had left of her. Today was special. After eleven years of raising Aidan as my own, I would finally witness his wolf awakening at his coming-of-age ceremony.
"You look beautiful, Luna," whispered one of the younger pack members as she passed, her eyes wide with admiration.
I smiled gently, patting her hand. "Thank you. Are the ceremonial candles ready?"
"Yes, Luna. Everything is prepared."
As I moved through our pack house toward Noah's office, I heard voices—Noah's deep timbre and a woman's softer tones. My mate had mentioned hiring a new Beta assistant, but I hadn't met her yet. I paused at the doorway, my hand raised to knock when something stopped me.
"The silver ceremonial bowl needs to be polished before tonight," Noah was saying, his voice carrying that authoritative edge he used when discussing pack matters.
"It will be done, Alpha," came the woman's reply, her voice melodic and strangely familiar.
I stepped into the room, forcing a smile. "Noah, I was wondering if—"
The words died in my throat as I caught sight of her. She was stunning—tall with cascading dark hair and piercing green eyes that seemed to evaluate me instantly. But it was her scent that hit me like a physical blow—vanilla and wildflowers with an undertone of something I couldn't place.
"Luna Stella," Noah said, his tone suddenly formal. "This is Sapphire Hunt, my new Beta assistant."
Sapphire extended her hand, her smile not quite reaching her eyes. "It's an honor to meet you, Luna. I've heard so much about you."
As our hands touched, something electric passed between us—not pleasant, but unsettling. Her scent shifted slightly, and suddenly my wolf stirred within me, alert and wary.
"There's something familiar about you," I said softly, trying to place it.
She laughed lightly. "I get that a lot. I suppose I have one of those faces."
Noah cleared his throat. "Sapphire will be helping with Aidan's ceremony tonight. Her expertise in traditional rituals will be valuable."
I nodded, though something cold settled in my stomach. "Of course. I should go check on the preparations."
As I turned to leave, I caught Sapphire watching me with an intensity that made my skin prickle. There was something she wasn't telling me—something important.

The full moon hung heavy in the night sky as our pack gathered in the ceremonial clearing. I stood beside Noah, my heart swelling with pride as Aidan stepped forward, his young face solemn and beautiful in the moonlight.
"We gather to witness the awakening of Aidan Dean's wolf," Noah announced, his Alpha voice carrying across the hushed crowd.
I reached for Aidan's hand, squeezing it gently. "I'm so proud of you," I whispered.
But he pulled away, his eyes fixed on something—someone—behind me.
The ritual began, ancient words spoken under the moon's glow. And
