Miscarriage on Valentine’s

My husband’s the only son of the richest man in Ivoneu. As for me, I’m an orphan.

His parents objected to us being together.

When I got pregnant, they got on a plane and came to collect us in person.

After that, I posted a picture I took with my husband, captioned, [I’m so thankful for you. Our life is going to be perfect from now on.]

Little did I know that the rich girl my husband had been dating online would confront me.

I stayed in my seat and braced myself for the rowdy scene I was about to witness. This group of people seemed like the bad sort. Whoever they were after was going to be in a world of trouble.

Still, I didn’t have much sympathy for a woman who would willingly become a homewrecker.

When the group turned in my direction and started marching toward me, my first instinct was to hold a hand protectively over my belly. Then, I got up to make way for them.

Even if I wanted to spectate, I knew better and kept my distance. I had to be especially cautious since I was pregnant.
