Synopsis of I'm the Cannon Fodder Wife in Her Drama
Chapter 1
After marrying and divorcing my husband, Casper Sloan, eight times in a row, I'm still the same woman who refuses to endure any flaws and mistakes Casper has made. As always, I'll demand a divorce over the smallest inconvenience ever.
That is, until Lucille Bates, Casper's newly-widowed sister-in-law, moves into our home with her five-year-old son, Baxter Sloan. In fact, she's sitting in my usual spot while drinking the bone broth I've custom-ordered for myself.
Rage overwhelms my senses instantly. I rush over and plan to knock Lucille's bowl over, only to see the live comments popping above Lucille's head out of the blue.
"Lucille really is smart! She just has to pull a little trick, and the drama queen will start digging her own grave again!"
"Ooh, Sabrina will demand a divorce for the ninth time! This time, Casper won't endure her shenanigans anymore. Once the divorce is done, he will never remarry her. Later on, Lucille will heal his wounded heart, and they will get together in the end."
"Keep being unreasonable, Sabrina! Once you're divorced, you'll die tragically in a car crash! No one will even bother claiming your body in the morgue!"
I shudder at the thought. When I notice Lucille smirking haughtily while reading the comments, I quickly retract my hand.
Unfortunately, I was a step too late. The bowl of bone broth was still overturned.
The bowl shattered against the floor, splattering broth all over Lucille Bates. Her eyes immediately welled with tears, and her voice cracked as she said, "I'm so sorry, Sabrina. I shouldn't have come.
"Please don't be mad. I'll leave right now…"
Casper Sloan's expression darkened immediately. My husband strode to Lucille's side before turning to glare at me with a scowl.
"Can't you be sensible for once, Sabrina Collins? Lucille just had a taste of your bone broth, so what are you making such a fuss about? You seriously need to fix that nasty temper of yours!" Casper shouts.
Out of the corner of my eye, I caught a glimpse of the floating comments above Lucille's head. The screen was densely packed with rolling text.
"Here it comes! The ninth divorce warning!"
"Sabrina always throws a tantrum and demands a divorce after smashing things. Casper had better agree this time."
"This is killing me. Just get divorced already so Casper and Lucille can be together!"
I took a deep breath and forced down the chill creeping up my chest. Waving my hands dismissively at Casper and Lucille, I said, "Casper, Lucille, you've misunderstood.
"I didn't mean to knock the bowl out of her hand on purpose. The broth had gone bad, and I was just worried she'd get food poisoning, so I reacted out of panic."
Casper was stunned, while Lucille stopped sobbing. A hint of confusion flashed in her eyes before she quickly switched to an innocent expression.
"But the maid said this broth was just delivered yesterday, so how could it have gone bad already? Are you
