Ravenna's POV

"Worthless, Omega."

"Useless, lazy slave."

"The Alpha should have left you to die."

The insults from Luna Selena and the pack members echoed in my head. But surprisingly, it doesn't hurt anymore. I have been accustomed to their derailing words that it's no longer hurt. If anything, it just feels like a bad music to my ears. One I didn't want to hear, but I couldn't do anything to stop. And the reasons they do that? I don't know.

I stood by the window side staring at the pack house that was luminated by the florescent bulbs, giving it an attractive view. It was beautiful from up here and I wonder if a time would ever come that my life would be this beautiful.

Just as I wanted to turn away, I caught sight of a family who were taking a night stroll in the pack garden. The sight made my chest tightened.

"If only my parent never abandoned me," I muttered to myself, my eyes still fixed at the sight of the family now playing a hide and seek game.

But they had abandoned me. I was just two years when they dropped me at the gate of the Bloodmoon Pack for reasons I don't know. Alpha Lucian had been so kind to take me in and treated me right, but Luna Selena hated me. She had maltreated me several times and even made sure I left the palace and stayed in this shitty storage room instead.
