Defrosting Her Cold Heart
Synopsis of Defrosting Her Cold Heart
Chapter 1
Casey kicked out suddenly, her legs thrashing, her body arching off the bed as she tried to resist the drug in her body system but couldn't due to the heavy dose of tranquilizer injected into her body; her limbs soon relaxed, surrendering to the numbness.
Observing her defiance, one of the doctors remarked to the others, "She's fighting the sedative," The doctor noted, "despite her severe injuries. We need to find a way to calm her down."
Director Steve, The head of the orphanage watched the 18-year-old on the bed with a mixture of fascination and concern, his eyes crinkled in thought.
Her file lay open on his desk, detailing her remarkable history. Found severely injured near a rural village, she had been raised by wolves since birth. Rescued at five, she was adopted by a loving family, only to lose them to bandits a year later.
A nurse whispered to a colleague, "Wolves raised her, can you believe it? Found in a cave, taken in by a stranger who adopted her to his family at age five..." The words trailed off, but Casey's ears picked up the faint hum of gossip.

The bandit leader responsible for the death of her adoptive parents, Unbeknownst to him, found her and trained her into a lethal weapon, and she eventually turned against them, exacting revenge for her deceased adoptive parents.
Memories of the bandit camp flashed through Casey's mind: endless training, the bandit leader's cold gaze, and the satisfying crunch of bone beneath her fists when she finally turned against them.
Unconscious due to injuries sustained in the confrontation with the bandits, she was brought in by the security men of the orphanage.
Had the doctors not sedated her, she might have wreaked havoc in the room.

SIX MONTHS LATER
Casey felt something hitting him and suddenly opened his eyes, only to see some kids throwing pebbles through the hole in the door of his room. The kids immediately run away when they see him standing up.
In confusion, Casey moved forward a little bit and felt that the doctor had not administered a significant amount of tranquilizer that day.
After a few months of being sedated, she doesn't have any extra energy most of the time except to get up to eat and walk a little bit. That was the idea of the Director of the base.
He allowed her to stay in this tiny room but deprived her of the
