"Alpha Tyrion?!" I stiffened, and the napkin I was holding slipped through my fingers. It couldn't be true. I didn't prepare this event hall for my mate's wedding. I looked intently, rubbed my eyes several times to be sure I wasn't seeing things, but truly, standing before the crowd, wearing a black suit, was my mate, Alpha Tyrion, and his bride, the regent's daughter, Desire.

All hope drained from me. I lost balance and almost stumbled to the ground.

My chest tightened, and I couldn't breathe so well.

What happened? Why was my mate getting married without my awareness? How did I end up preparing a wedding hall for my mate who was getting married to another woman?

I couldn't believe my eyes and ears. Watching and listening with my heart bleeding, the two of them said their wedding ritual vows, and the crowd applauded for them while they returned to their seats.

Alpha Tyrion happened to see me. He locked eyes with me, but a sinister smile appeared on his face before he got seated and looked away. His expression showed that he loved what he was doing and didn't feel any atom of remorse.

So this was why he had been distancing himself from me for the past two weeks, and all my efforts to talk it out with him were all in vain. For three years, we had been mates and lovers, and I believed we would be a nice couple. I was getting ready for his coronation, which would take place in three days, not knowing that he was getting married.

Tears slipped from my eyes, and I quickly wiped them. I was just a worker in this resort and nothing more, so I wasn't supposed to be in the event hall until called to serve. I left the hall, went to a hidden corner where I let out my bloody tears relentlessly.

How could this happen to me? After all my efforts to be the perfect Luna for him in the future. He was the first man I ever met. He knew so damn well that I was an omega and orphan, and I had not for once been a liability to him.

I was a college student and was working part-time in the resort just to take care of certain bills which my aunt couldn't cover. I was also helping in sorting out my younger brother's bills, and I haven't once asked him for financial help.
