Chapter 2

The concert's atmosphere grew more intense by the minute, with everyone's focus locked on the stage.

It seemed like I was invisible, blending into the shadows of the concert. The dim lights gave me a false sense of bravery.

I moved to the beat of the music, letting the rhythm guide my steps.

She moved with a rhythm that made the air between us tremble, every motion sent a heat through me that I could not contain.

I reached for her waist and pulled her close, the sudden rush of contact hit me like fire, every cell in me coming alive.

The concert was more than worth it. The crowd was wild, the energy infectious, and everywhere I looked, faces were glowing in the light: young, reckless, alive. Heat surged through me, the air itself seemed to pull us together until only breath and heartbeat separated us. Through the thin fabric, I felt a spreading warmth, something alive and uncontrollable.

The thought of so many people sharing that experience made me smile, a sweet feeling spreading through me.

I adjusted my clothes, feeling comfortable in the space around me.

She suddenly went weak in my arms, her legs trembling. I caught her by the waist before she fell.

She whispered for me to stop, her voice trembling somewhere between protest and confusion. The air grew thick with everything neither of us knew how to say.

Just then, a flash went off, and the camera caught us. Our faces appeared on the giant screen. That's when I finally saw her clearly: she was Marilyn Monroe–level beautiful, with soft, fair skin and cheeks flushed a delicate red.

She had not noticed the big screen, her eyes were half-closed, lost in the moment. When the camera caught us, I quickly straightened up, pretending nothing had happened. She looked up, saw herself on the screen, and her face flushed scarlet before she lowered her head.

The celebrity on stage said, "This couple looks pretty close! Camera crew, see if there are any other couples around."

At his command, the camera shifted to another pair.

Only then did I breathe a sigh of relief. I slipped my arms around the girl's waist from behind, feeling the softness of her body.

Her emotions were already stirred, her voice coming out in quick, uneven breaths.

"You're really bold," she said softly. "I don't even know you, but you…"

I gave her a teasing smile.

"But what?"

She lowered her head, her cheeks turning red. "I've never done anything like this in a place like this before," she murmured. "It just feels…too much."

She never dated anyone before, so it was no wonder she seemed so flustered.

The thought surprised me, and for some reason, it made my heart race.

Leaning close, I whispered softly, "You're so beautiful. How come you've never had a boyfriend?"

She blushed, her shoulders trembling slightly as she laughed in embarrassment.

"I just started college," she said. "My parents are really strict… They won't let me date."

Her honesty made the air between us heavier, filled with something neither of us dared to name.

I could feel her hesitation, but also the quiet curiosity behind it, the feeling of someone experiencing closeness for the first time.
