Chapter 6

"Shoot." Leaning his back against the wall, he spoke.

"If we are performing romantic songs, like 'I can't live without you' songs or 'I am ready to die for you' songs, then I have a list for that, and I also have a list for chill kinda songs."

He laughed.

Oh no! Gentlemen! He laughed! At my cheesy joke.

Jesus! I'm on my way to the sky.

I pulled out my phone.

Alright, one thing about myself. I tend to talk too much when I'm anxious. Like at this moment.

I held my phone out to him so he could look at the list, but he stepped closer to me instead of taking it. Sitting just next to me now.

Relax. Butterflies. Calm down, baby.

It's all right. It's awesome.

1: Before discovering you 2: Ideal

3. A Thousand Years

4. Senorita

5: I'm not interested in living forever.

1. Starboy

2. Remind

3. Brutal

Four Seven Rings

After reading it, he turned to face me.

"We can begin with a solo performance, then we can move to the next one, and then we can sing the duo."

I nodded slowly, understanding him. I replied, "So you have the guitar, you can begin, then you can play it for me while I sing."

"Cool."

"What are you gonna sing?" I inquired.

"Have you heard 'Attention'?" He inquired.

I said, amazed, "Charlie Puth."

"I believe it can succeed. How about you?

"A tale of love? By Taylor Swift? Or Olivia Rodrigo's Brutal? Or even Levitating Dua Lipa?

His brows furrowed as he listened to me, then he began, "Can I suggest something?"

"Of course."

"How about 'Blank Space' by Taylor Swift?"

"Blank Space?"

"Yeah, just include the part where she says 'Imma nightmare dressed like a daydream'."

"Oh my God! You're fantastic!" I cried out.

He grinned.

"All right, two songs were chosen. I'll make a note of it somewhere. On my phone, I made a note of the two tunes.

Sebastian's Attention; Viv's Blank Space

"Done." Then I asked, "The duo thing?" as I glanced up at him on my phone.

He gave a nod. "We'll have to think."

I nodded while I searched my Spotify playlist for anything enjoyable.

He pulled out his laptop and got to work on it.

"Let's hear this one." As he spoke, he held out one AirPod in my direction. I wore it. I had never heard the song before, but it was really calming.

"This is good." I grinned.

"We can perform a duo dance in this."

"Dance?" He gave a nod.

"I am not good at remembering steps."

After pausing the song, he got up from his chair and started playing it again.

I accepted his hand as he held it out to me and got to my feet. Putting one hand on my waist, he drew me in closer.

Fuck! No, no. Not that close.

I'm being affected by it.

"I can't."

"Shh... just do what I am doing."

I followed his moves, moving to the music. At him, my gaze paused. He kept dancing while spinning me around. He was simply not responding, even though I'm sure he could hear my heartbeat.

It's a strange feeling. One thing I've desired is this intimacy, and when it materializes, I feel as though my heart will burst.

"Are you okay?" Abruptly, he asked.

I nodded without turning to face him.

Shhhh. Shhhh. Calm down, sweetie.

He spun me around again, and my back struck his chest. After tracing my hands up and down, he eventually entwined them. I shut my eyes.

I'm not capable of that.

He put our entwined hands around me and kissed my shoulder lightly. He turned me toward himself and drew me in.

"Move your hips."

Fuck! That sounded so hot.

I followed his instructions and began making sexy hip movements. For some reason, he smiled.

Am I doing things incorrectly?

I heard a clap all of a sudden. We both turned to face Mrs. Robinson.

"I loved it!" She appeared rather impressed.

I stepped back from Sebastian as though I was being burned by his touch. He couldn't understand why I was acting that way.

"I thought your work was fantastic. Include this in your performance.

I could feel Sebastian's gaze on me, but I chose to ignore him. My poor heart must endure yet another ordeal for him, even though he doesn't share half of my feelings for him.

No hope.

Please.

He simply planted a kiss on my shoulder, and believe me, I have never had such a sensation before.

"What was the song?" She inquired.

There was not a word I could say. On my part, Sebastian responded to all of her inquiries. She left after offering him some suggestions for what we could do.

"What was that?" Sebastian inquired, turning to face me.

"What?"

"The manner in which you acted. I wasn't pressuring or harming you."

"I understand. In front of her, it was just awkward.

And since I had no further explanation, I thank Jesus that he stopped bringing up the subject.

It feels different in his arms. Being in his arms is such a wonderful sensation. I didn't want to distance myself from him for some reason, but I also didn't want to injure myself by giving myself false hope.

I get anxious around him.
