Chapter 3

I stood outside Johan's office, clutching a folder of printed mind-link transcripts. My hands trembled not with fear but with rage—cold, calculated fury that had been building for five years. The evidence was irrefutable. Every word, every plan, every cruel intention laid bare in black and white.

My wolf paced within me, her golden eyes flashing. *Now*, she urged. *Make him face what he's done.*

I pushed open the heavy oak door without knocking. Johan looked up from his desk, irritation flashing across his face.

"Aniyah, I'm busy. Whatever this is can—"

I slammed the folder onto his desk, papers spilling across his carefully organized surface. "Explain this."

His eyes narrowed as he scanned the first page. I watched the color drain from his face as he recognized his own words—his private conversations with Liv.

"Where did you get these?" His voice was dangerously low.

"As Luna, I have access to the pack mind-link network," I replied, my voice steady despite the storm raging inside me. "Did you forget that little detail when you were plotting against our daughter?"

Johan leaned back in his chair, attempting to regain composure. "These are taken out of context. You're misinterpreting—"

"Don't." I cut him off, pointing to a specific page. "Here you discuss the exact moment Faye should make her accusation. And here—" I flipped to another page, "—you both laugh about how Bonnie will be 'destroyed' by the humiliation."

His jaw tightened, that familiar muscle twitching beneath his skin. "You had no right to invade my privacy."

"Privacy?" I laughed, the sound brittle even to my own ears. "You've never respected mine. And now you've used your position to destroy our daughter's reputation."

Johan stood abruptly, his Alpha aura flaring. "What do you want?"

"A public apology. Before the pack elders. From all three of you."

His eyes flashed amber. "That's impossible. My position—"

"Your position will mean nothing when I present this to Elder Catherine," I interrupted. "Imagine the pack learning their Alpha conspired with his brother's mate to sabotage his own daughter."

Johan's face contorted with fury and fear. He knew what this would mean—not just personal embarrassment but political disaster. An Alpha who couldn't be trusted, who used his power to settle personal scores.

"This isn't just about Bonnie anymore," I continued. "This is about your affair being exposed to the entire pack."

---

The Great Hall fell silent as Elder Catherine called the emergency gathering to order. Bonnie stood beside me, her small hand clutched in mine. She hadn't understood why I'd insisted she attend, why I'd spent the morning preparing her for this moment.

"Members of Silvermoon Pack," Elder Catherine announced, her weathered face solemn, "we gather today for an unusual purpose."

Johan stepped forward, his face a mask of contrition that didn't reach his eyes. Behind him stood Liv and Faye, both dressed in subdued colors, their expressions carefully arranged.

"Yesterday," Johan began, his voice stiff, "false accusations were made against my daughter, Bonnie Collins."

I watched Bonnie's head snap up, her eyes widening.

"These accusations were untrue and harmful," he continued, each word clearly causing him pain—not from remorse but from the humiliation of being forced to admit fault.

Liv stepped forward next, her voice honey-sweet with practiced sincerity. "I apologize for any role I played in this misunderstanding."

*Misunderstanding*. As if conspiracy and deliberate sabotage could be reduced to a simple misunderstanding.

Faye's turn came last. Tears streamed down her face as she spoke, though I could see the calculation behind them. "Bonnie, I'm so sorry," she sobbed. "I was confused and scared."

Bonnie stood frozen, unable to respond to this unexpected reversal.

---

"You've gone too far."

Johan's voice was deadly quiet as he cornered me in our private quarters later that night. His Alpha aura pressed down on me like a physical weight.

"The pack is talking," he continued, pacing like a caged predator. "My authority is being questioned."

"Only because you abused it."

He spun toward me, eyes flashing dangerously. "If you ever—*ever*—challenge my authority like this again, there will be consequences."

I stood my ground despite the intimidation radiating from him. "What kind of consequences?"

"You'll be stripped of your Luna privileges," he snarled. "I'll restrict your access to Bonnie. I'll make sure the entire pack understands that you're unstable and unfit to be their Luna."

His aura intensified, pressing against my chest until it was hard to breathe. "You've embarrassed the Alpha family and undermined pack hierarchy."

"And you've betrayed your own daughter," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper but steady nonetheless.

Johan's eyes narrowed to slits. "Remember this moment, Aniyah. Remember that you chose this path."

As he turned to leave, I caught a glimpse of something in his expression I'd never seen before—fear. Not of me, but of what I might become if pushed further.

My wolf stirred within me, no longer cowering but standing tall. *We're just getting started*, she whispered.
